Change the water every day or two, and give the bath a proper clean once a week. Dirty water spreads disease among the birds that drink and bathe in it.

Empty the bath and scrub it with CitroSan, then rinse it thoroughly with clean water before refilling. Follow the dilution instructions on the bottle.

Ice Free helps keep bird bath water from freezing in cold weather, so birds can still drink and bathe. Follow the label instructions for how much to use.

Never use salt, antifreeze or glycerine, because they harm birds. Use a product made for bird baths, such as Ice Free, or float a small ball on the water and top up with warm water on frosty mornings.
