Can bird food get wet?
It is not recommended for bird food to get wet, as this can lead to the growth of mould, sprouting, or spoiling. In turn, this can lead to birds getting ill. Keep bird food stored in a cool, air and watertight place so it stays fresh for as long as possible. Furthermore, choose feeders with a wide lid or use a dome to prevent water from leaking onto the seeds. Overall, you should prevent bird seed from getting wet to keep birds safe and healthy.
